Bike Rentals at Cannon with Access to the Franconia Notch Path

This summer you can experience the Franconia Notch State Park by bike and it’s hassle free!  Sport Thoma rents bikes on weekends through June and daily from July 2 – September 5 from the base of the Cannon Tramway (Exit 34B) providing direct access to the path. They rent a full range of Scott and Giant all-terrain bikes for both adults and children. On top of that, you can catch a shuttle back to the Tram from the Flume Gorge – it’s mostly downhill from the Tram to the Flume. Families especially appreciate the ride back!  Find out more by visiting cannonmt.com/bike-rentals

After your ride, be sure to hang out and explore the Flume. The two-mile hike/walk includes an 800′ long gorge with 70-90′ rock walls and spectacular waterfalls. glacial boulders, caves and historic covered bridges. There’s also hiking at the 4,000′ summit of Cannon via the aerial tramway with amazing mountain views of four states and Canada. Click here for an official Franconia Notch Brochure with a map of the area and details on additional attractions, hours, prices, etc. There’s way too many to include them all here!

At the Mountain Fare Inn, it is our goal to live consciously and to reflect a commitment to conservation. We have enormous respect for our White Mountain Region and we are heartened to find that many of our guests share this same quest. They are an active and wonderfully interesting group of people and we are always excited to hear about their day’s adventures. We hope you can join us round the campfire this summer!
